Background: The National Asphalt and Pavement Association (NAPA) is a leading organization in the asphalt pavement industry, dedicated to promoting the use of high-quality asphalt pavement for infrastructure development. For their 2021 Annual Report, NAPA wanted to create a visually striking and impactful publication that would reflect their commitment to innovation and sustainability while showcasing their achievements and contributions to the industry. Design Challenge: I partnered with FCI Creative, a reputable design agency with a history of successful collaborations with NAPA, and was entrusted with the task of designing several pages for the 2021 Annual Report. The primary challenge was to craft a report that not only celebrated NAPA's accomplishments but also communicated their vision of "Transforming Tomorrow Today" in a visually compelling and coherent manner. The Creative Solution: Working alongside one of FCI's Lead Designers, I embarked on a creative journey to help bring NAPA's vision to life. The design concept revolved around the notion of transformation, where the present and future of the asphalt pavement industry would merge seamlessly. Results and Recognition: The National Asphalt and Pavement Association 2021 Annual Report not only exceeded the expectations of the client, but also was awarded the prestigious Gold award for the Best Annual Report design at the 2023 EXCEL Awards presented by the AM&P Network.
